IMPORTANT: UNILAG RELEASES INFORMATION ON ACCOMMODATION ALLOCATION EXERCISE FOR SECOND SEMESTER 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Lagos releases information on accomodation allocation exercise for second semester 2024/2025 academic session.



The University management, through the Dean wishes to inform all students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that APPLICATION for hostel accommodation for the Second Semester, 2024/2025 will commence on 12:00 midnight Sunday, April 27, 2025, and close on 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. The balloting exercise for hostel allocation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

All students who have completed course registration for the 2024/2025 academic session; are within the regular duration for their respective programmes; and have paid all approved dues (such as LAGMOBILE Fee among others) are eligible to apply for bed spaces.

Process & Criteria

All eligible students must apply, through their portals for hostel accommodation during the designated application window: Sunday, April 27 to Wednesday, May 30, 2025.

After the application window closes, bed spaces will be allocated randomly via a balloting system amongst all eligible applicants.

Important Dates to Remember:

Application Start Date - 12:00 midnight, Sunday, April 27, 2025

Application End Date - 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2025

Balloting Date - Thursday, May 1, 2025

Payment Deadline - ONE WEEK AFTER ALLOCATION

Movement into Hall of Residence: To be announced by the Dean, Student Affairs

Payment for Allocated Bed Spaces - The allocated bed space MUST be paid for WITHIN A WEEK otherwise, it will be REVOKED and REALLOCATED.

All interested and eligible students are enjoined to note these guidelines, ensure they have done their course registration, and apply within the specified timeline.

The Dean also warned that students in EL-Kanemi HALL 2; Gbajabiamila; Women Society ; And other hostels in this category around campus are not eligible to participate in the balloting exercise. Any student who violates this directive will face the students' disciplinary board for social misconduct
