IMPORTANT: RESTRUCTURING OF THE FACULTY OF SCIENCE INTO THREE NEW FACULTIES.
As part of the ongoing reforms and restructuring efforts, the faculty of Science will cease to exist as of August 2025. In its place, three new faculties will be established.
EFFECTIVE DATE: AUGUST 2025
- Faculty of Life Science
Departments: (Botany, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Genetics, Marine Science, Microbiology, Zoology, Pre-med).
- Faculty of Computing and Informatics
Departments: (Computer Science, Data Science)
- Faculty of Earth and Physical Sciences
Departments: (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Geosciences, Statistics).

Also, the Faculty of Agriculture has been approved and is currently undergoing processing. The establishment of this faculty will be finalized upon completion of the necessary infrastructure and facilities. New Deans will be appointed for each of the three new faculties, effective August 2025. Further details regarding the transition process will be communicated in due course.
